Place2Be

Dear parents,

Moving up to secondary or high school can feel like a huge leap for children and their families, and can bring mixed emotions – from excitement and anticipation, to stress and nerves.

You might be thinking of how to maintain a close connection with your child as they start to transition into adolescence.

To support you ahead of this stage of your child’s development, our new topic “Connecting with my teenager” will help you understand what’s going on for them and how to strengthen your relationship.

In our latest blog, Place2Be’s Programme Leader for Family Work, Judah Racham reflects on his own experience of trying to stay cool and relevant with his teenage boys.

Also, if your child is going to big school this year, make sure to read our tips for a smooth transition to secondary or high school

Any questions, please feel free to come and speak with Hira either on a Wednesday or a Thursday.

You can email Hira Sami on hira.sami@place2be.org.uk or call the school office.
