What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a mental practice that involves being fully present and engaged in the moment without any distractions.

Why do we need mindfulness?

Mindfulness helps us focus better on our thoughts and think more clearly. It can help us to relax, reduce stress and be calm.

This calming deep breathing technique is suitable for children aged 5-11. It may take a lot of practise to get right, but it is well worth the effort!

 

This is a two-week calendar with daily mindfulness activity suggestions. You can run these activities whenever you like, for example at the start of lessons, or after playtime, to help ground and relax the children.
