  • Make Mini Movies: Be the writer, director and star of your very own short films.

  • Explore Special Effects: Discover the secrets behind the coolest movie magic and try them out yourself!

  • Watch and Learn: Enjoy screenings of each other’s creations and get inspired.

Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn - Norman McLaren (Scottish Canadian Animator - Pioneer and an innovator)

What does the Club Offer?

We use stop motion apps, flip paper animation,  character animation as well as other objects within the school enviornment to create the short pieces of animation.

Children use their time to explore and investigate the apps found on the iPad, the manipulatives and the resources before planning and creating ideas.

We film short trailers and videos linked to children’s topic, hobbies and interestes to develop their creative skills and confidence.

Children are advised to seek permission from their parents before downloading any free animation/video editing apps on to their personal devices. This is to ensure the apps are safe to use and to promote e-safety.

Apps we use in school are: IcanAnimate, Flipaclip, Stop Motion Studio, Stick Nodes, iMovie, Capcut, Green Screen
